Description
Rat GDH/GLDH (Glutamate Dehydrogenase) ELISA Kit
The Rat GDH/GLDH (Glutamate Dehydrogenase) ELISA Kit is a specialized assay designed for the quantitative detection of GDH/GLDH levels in various biological samples from rats. GDH/GLDH is a critical enzyme involved in amino acid metabolism, specifically the conversion of glutamate to alpha-ketoglutarate with the concomitant reduction of NAD(P)+ to NAD(P)H.
This enzyme plays a pivotal role in the tricarboxylic acid cycle (TCA) and contributes to the regulation of cellular energy production and nitrogen balance. This ELISA kit provides a precise and accurate method for quantifying GDH/GLDH levels, offering valuable insights into its function in amino acid metabolism, energy generation, and overall cellular metabolic processes. By measuring GDH/GLDH concentrations, researchers can gain a better understanding of its role in metabolic pathways, cellular homeostasis, and the pathogenesis of various metabolic disorders and diseases. The Rat GDH/GLDH (Glutamate Dehydrogenase) ELISA Kit from Assay Genie ensures exceptional sensitivity and specificity, allowing for reliable and reproducible results. Manufactured under strict quality control measures, this kit delivers robust performance, facilitating ease of use and analysis, and making it an excellent choice for research in the fields of amino acid metabolism, cellular energetics, and metabolic disorders.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat GDH/GLDH. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Rat GDH/GLDH and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Rat GDH/GLDH, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Rat GDH/GLDH. You can calculate the concentration of Rat GDH/GLDH in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
Precision
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, mid range and high level Rat GDH/GLDH were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, mid range and high level Rat GDH/GLDH were tested on 3 different plates, 20 replicates in each plate.
