The Rat EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor) ELISA Kit is a specialized assay designed to quantitatively detect the levels of Epidermal Growth Factor in various rat biological samples. Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) is a critical signaling protein that plays a key role in cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. It is an essential molecule involved in tissue development, wound healing, and various cellular processes. Accurate measurement of EGF levels using this ELISA kit can provide valuable insights into the role of EGF in cellular growth, tissue repair, and maintenance of epithelial tissues. Dysregulation of EGF has been associated with various pathological conditions, including cancer, inflammatory diseases, and impaired wound healing, making it a crucial target for research in cell biology and regenerative medicine.
The Rat EGF ELISA Kit from Assay Genie offers exceptional sensitivity and specificity, ensuring reliable and reproducible results. Manufactured under strict quality control standards, this assay provides robust performance, delivering accurate quantitative data on EGF levels in biological samples. It is a valuable tool for researchers studying growth factor signaling pathways and their implications in health and disease.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat EGF. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Rat EGF and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Rat EGF, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Rat EGF. You can calculate the concentration of Rat EGF in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
