The Rat Calcitonin (CT) ELISA Kit is a cutting-edge assay meticulously designed for the precise and quantitative measurement of Calcitonin levels in various rat biological samples.
Calcitonin, a vital hormone produced by the thyroid, is integral in regulating calcium and phosphorus metabolism, making it essential for bone health and calcium balance in the body. Given its role in modulating calcium levels, Calcitonin is crucial for maintaining bone mineral density and homeostasis. This ELISA kit offers researchers a reliable tool to explore the dynamic changes in Calcitonin levels, shedding light on its involvement in skeletal health, calcium regulation, and potential therapeutic applications. With exceptional sensitivity and specificity, this assay ensures accurate and reproducible results, making it an invaluable asset for investigations into Calcitonin biology in physiological and pathological conditions. Manufactured under stringent quality control standards, this kit guarantees robust performance, providing researchers with a user-friendly and efficient solution for scientific exploration and discovery.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat CT. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Rat CT and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Rat CT, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Rat CT. You can calculate the concentration of Rat CT in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
