The Rat CP (Ceruloplasmin) ELISA Kit is a specialized assay designed for the precise and quantitative measurement of ceruloplasmin levels in rat biological samples. Ceruloplasmin is a multi-functional ferroxidase enzyme involved in various physiological processes, including copper metabolism, iron transport, and antioxidant defense. With pivotal roles in iron homeostasis and oxidative stress regulation, ceruloplasmin serves as an essential participant in maintaining cellular health and systemic balance. Accurate determination of ceruloplasmin levels provided by this ELISA kit is crucial for studying its involvement in iron metabolism disorders, neurological diseases, inflammation, and cardiovascular conditions.
Changes in ceruloplasmin expression or activity can have significant implications for overall health and may serve as biomarkers for various pathologies. The Rat CP ELISA Kit from Assay Genie offers exceptional sensitivity and specificity, ensuring precise and reproducible results. Manufactured under stringent quality control measures, this kit delivers reliable performance, making it an ideal choice for research applications. Its user-friendly format and robust analytical capabilities make it well-suited for investigating the intricate functions of ceruloplasmin in physiological and pathological contexts.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat CP. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Rat CP and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Rat CP, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Rat CP. You can calculate the concentration of Rat CP in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
