The Rat Collagen Type I Alpha 1 (COL1α1) ELISA Kit is a specialized tool designed for the quantitative measurement of Collagen Type I Alpha 1 levels in various rat biological samples. Collagen Type I is a crucial component of the extracellular matrix and is primarily responsible for providing tensile strength to tissues. It serves as a fundamental building block for connective tissues, bone, skin, and tendons, playing a vital role in the structural framework of the body. By leveraging this ELISA kit, researchers can accurately assess and quantify the levels of Collagen Type I Alpha 1 in rat samples, facilitating investigations into tissue remodeling, wound healing, and fibrosis.
The assay offers exceptional sensitivity and specificity, ensuring precise and reproducible results. Manufactured under strict quality control standards, this ELISA kit ensures robust performance and user-friendly protocols, making it an ideal choice for research in the fields of connective tissue biology and extracellular matrix regulation.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat COL1α1. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Rat COL1α1 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Rat COL1α1, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Rat COL1α1. You can calculate the concentration of Rat COL1α1 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
