Description
Rat CENPB (Centromere Protein B) ELISA Kit
The Rat CENPB (Centromere Protein B) ELISA Kit is a specialized assay designed for the quantitative detection of Centromere Protein B levels in rat biological samples. Centromere Protein B is a crucial component of the centromere complex, playing a pivotal role in chromosomal stability, kinetochore formation, and faithful chromosome segregation during cell division.
It is essential for proper mitosis and cell cycle progression, as well as genome integrity maintenance. Accurate measurement of Centromere Protein B levels provided by this ELISA kit is vital for studying chromosomal dynamics, centromere function, and their implications in various cellular processes and diseases. Centromere Protein B abnormalities have been associated with chromosomal instability, aneuploidy, and cancer development, making it a key target for research in oncology, cell biology, and genetics. The Rat CENPB ELISA Kit by Assay Genie offers exceptional sensitivity and specificity, ensuring precise and reproducible results. Manufactured under stringent quality control measures, this kit delivers reliable performance, making it a valuable tool for unraveling the roles of Centromere Protein B in health and disease. Its user-friendly nature and robust performance qualities make it an excellent choice for researchers aiming to explore centromeric biology and chromosomal integrity.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat CENPB. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Rat CENPB and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Rat CENPB, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Rat CENPB. You can calculate the concentration of Rat CENPB in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
Precision
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, mid range and high level Rat CENPB were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, mid range and high level Rat CENPB were tested on 3 different plates, 20 replicates in each plate.
