The Rat CEA (Carcinoembryonic Antigen) ELISA Kit is purposefully developed to quantitatively detect levels of Carcinoembryonic Antigen in a variety of biological samples. CEA is a potent biomarker that holds significance in the diagnostic evaluation and monitoring of various cancers, especially colorectal cancer. Its presence in elevated levels can be indicative of neoplastic conditions, making it a valuable tool in cancer research and patient management.
Accurate measurement of CEA levels is essential for early cancer detection, monitoring treatment responses, and evaluating disease progression. This ELISA kit offers exceptional sensitivity and specificity, ensuring precise and reproducible results. Manufactured under stringent quality control standards, this kit guarantees robust performance and ease of use, making it an excellent choice for cancer-related research and clinical investigations.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat CEA. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Rat CEA and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Rat CEA, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Rat CEA. You can calculate the concentration of Rat CEA in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
