Description
Rat CD8 (Cluster of Differentiation 8) ELISA Kit
The Rat CD8 (Cluster of Differentiation 8) ELISA Kit offers a cutting-edge solution for the precise quantitative measurement of CD8 levels in a variety of rat biological samples. CD8 is a crucial cell surface glycoprotein expressed on cytotoxic T cells and plays a pivotal role in immune responses, particularly in the identification and elimination of infected or aberrant cells. The assay is specifically designed to enable researchers to explore the expression levels of CD8, offering valuable insights into cellular immunity, immune responses, and immunopathology. Accurate quantification of CD8 is essential for understanding its contributions to host defense mechanisms, immune surveillance, and autoimmune disorders.
Through the meticulous detection of CD8 levels, researchers can unravel the complexities of T cell-mediated immunity and investigate the role of CD8+ T cells in various disease processes. The Rat CD8 ELISA Kit by Assay Genie is meticulously developed to provide exceptional sensitivity and specificity, ensuring precise and reproducible results. With stringent quality control measures in place, this kit delivers reliable performance, making it an indispensable tool for researchers investigating the functions and implications of CD8 in immunology and disease pathogenesis.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat CD8. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Rat CD8 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Rat CD8, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Rat CD8. You can calculate the concentration of Rat CD8 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
Precision
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, mid range and high level Rat CD8 were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, mid range and high level Rat CD8 were tested on 3 different plates, 20 replicates in each plate.
