The Rat CASP1 (Caspase 1) ELISA Kit is a specialized assay designed for the quantitative measurement of Caspase 1 levels in various rat biological samples. Caspase 1 is a crucial protein involved in the inflammatory response and plays a significant role in initiating the inflammatory cascade.
It is a key component of the inflammasome, a multi-protein complex responsible for the processing and activation of pro-inflammatory cytokines like IL-1. Accurate quantification of Caspase 1 using this ELISA kit enables researchers to investigate the role of this protease in inflammatory processes, immune responses, and cell death mechanisms. Dysregulation of Caspase 1 activity has been associated with various inflammatory disorders, autoimmune diseases, and infections, making it an essential target for understanding the pathophysiology of these conditions. The Rat CASP1 ELISA Kit from Assay Genie offers exceptional sensitivity and specificity, ensuring precise and reproducible results. Manufactured under strict quality control standards, this kit provides reliable performance and delivers accurate data on Caspase 1 levels in biological samples. It serves as a valuable tool for researchers studying inflammatory pathways and developing potential therapeutic interventions targeting Caspase 1.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat CASP1. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Rat CASP1 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Rat CASP1, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Rat CASP1. You can calculate the concentration of Rat CASP1 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
