Description
RASSF1A Monoclonal Antibody [P3F3AT] (CPAB0547)
The RASSF1A Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0547) is a vital tool for researchers studying the RASSF1A protein, a tumor suppressor gene associated with various cancers and epigenetic alterations. Raised in rabbits, this antibody exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications.RASSF1A is known to be involved in cell cycle regulation, apoptosis, and DNA repair processes, making it a key player in tumor suppression mechanisms.
By targeting the RASSF1A protein, researchers can gain valuable insights into the molecular pathways underlying cancer development and progression. This antibody is suitable for use in immunology and cancer research studies, allowing for the detection and analysis of RASSF1A expression in a variety of cell types. Understanding the role of RASSF1A in tumorigenesis and potential therapeutic interventions is essential for developing targeted treatments for cancer patients.

Background: | RASSF1A is a protein similar to the RAS effector proteins. Loss or altered expression of the RASSF1A gene has been linked to the pathogenesis of a variety of cancers, which suggests the tumor suppressor function of the RASSF1A gene. The inactivation of the RASSF1A gene was found to be interconnected with the hypermethylation of its CpG-island promoter region. The RASSF1A protein was found to interact with DNA repair protein XPA. RASSF1A was also shown to inhibit the accumulation of cyclin D1, and thus induce cell cycle arrest. |
