The Rasal1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB15114) is a valuable tool for researchers studying Rasal1, a protein involved in cell signaling pathways and cancer development. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and is ideal for use in Western blotting applications. By binding to the Rasal1 protein, this antibody allows for precise detection and analysis in various cell types, making it essential for studies in oncology and molecular biology.Rasal1, also known as Ras GTPase-activating protein, plays a crucial role in regulating Ras signaling, a pathway frequently dysregulated in cancer cells. Understanding the function and regulation of Rasal1 is essential for unraveling the mechanisms of tumor development and identifying potential therapeutic targets.
By studying Rasal1, researchers can gain insights into cancer progression and potentially develop novel treatment strategies targeting Ras signaling pathways.Overall, the Rasal1 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers investigating Rasal1 function and its implications in cancer biology. Its high specificity and reliability make it a key component in advancing our understanding of cell signaling pathways and developing targeted therapies for cancer.

The protein encoded by this gene is member of the GAP1 family of GTPase-activating proteins. These proteins stimulate the GTPase activity of normal RAS p21 but not its oncogenic counterpart. Acting as a suppressor of RAS function, the protein enhances the weak intrinsic GTPase activity of RAS proteins resulting in the inactive GDP-bound form of RAS, thereby allowing control of cellular proliferation and differentiation. This particular family member contains domains which are characteristic of the GAP1 subfamily of RasGAP proteins but, in contrast to the other GAP1 family members, this protein is strongly and selectively expressed in endocrine tissues. Alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode different isoforms have been described
