The RAMP3 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB6715) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the Receptor Activity Modifying Protein 3 (RAMP3) in various biological processes. Raised in rabbits, this antibody is highly specific to human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. RAMP3 is a critical protein involved in the modulation of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), particularly in their trafficking and ligand specificity. Its role in regulating the activity of GPCRs makes it a key player in various physiological processes, including cardiovascular function, neurotransmission, and hormone regulation.
By targeting RAMP3 with this polyclonal antibody, researchers can accurately detect and analyze the protein in different cell types, providing insights into its function and potential therapeutic implications. This antibody is ideal for studies in pharmacology, neuroscience, and endocrinology, offering a deeper understanding of GPCR regulation and its impact on human health.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the RAMP family of single-transmembrane-domain proteins, called receptor (calcitonin) activity modifying proteins (RAMPs). RAMPs are type I transmembrane proteins with an extracellular N terminus and a cytoplasmic C terminus. RAMPs are required to transport calcitonin-receptor-like receptor (CRLR) to the plasma membrane. CRLR, a receptor with seven transmembrane domains, can function as either a calcitonin-gene-related peptide (CGRP) receptor or an adrenomedullin receptor, depending on which members of the RAMP family are expressed. In the presence of this (RAMP3) protein, CRLR functions as an adrenomedullin receptor.
