The RAD54B Polyclonal Antibody (CAB16208) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the RAD54B protein, a key player in DNA repair and recombination processes. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to RAD54B, this antibody enables the detection and analysis of the protein in various cell types, making it ideal for investigations in genetics, molecular biology, and oncology research.
RAD54B is known for its role in DNA double-strand break repair and homologous recombination, making it crucial for maintaining genomic stability and preventing mutations that can lead to cancer and other genetic disorders. Research on RAD54B is essential for understanding the mechanisms underlying DNA repair pathways and developing targeted therapies for diseases linked to DNA damage. The RAD54B Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for unraveling the functions and interactions of RAD54B in these contexts.

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the DEAD-like helicase superfamily. It shares similarity with Saccharomyces cerevisiae RAD54 and RDH54, both of which are involved in homologous recombination and repair of DNA. This protein binds to double-stranded DNA, and displays ATPase activity in the presence of DNA. This gene is highly expressed in testis and spleen, which suggests active roles in meiotic and mitotic recombination. Homozygous mutations of this gene were observed in primary lymphoma and colon cancer.
