The RAD50 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (CAB3869) is a powerful tool for researchers studying the RAD50 protein, a key player in DNA damage detection and repair mechanisms. This highly specific antibody is raised in rabbits and is suitable for use in a variety of applications, including Western blotting and immunofluorescence. It binds specifically to the RAD50 protein, allowing for precise detection and analysis in a range of cell types.RAD50 is a critical component of the MRN complex, involved in sensing and repairing DNA double-strand breaks. Dysregulation of RAD50 function has been implicated in various genetic disorders and cancer development.
By targeting RAD50 with this antibody, researchers can gain valuable insights into the mechanisms underlying these diseases and potentially identify new therapeutic targets for intervention.Overall, the RAD50 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (CAB3869) is a reliable tool for investigating the role of RAD50 in DNA damage response pathways and its implications for human health and disease. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it a valuable asset for researchers in the fields of genetics, oncology, and molecular biology.

The protein encoded by this gene is highly similar to Saccharomyces cerevisiae Rad50, a protein involved in DNA double-strand break repair. This protein forms a complex with MRE11 and NBS1. The protein complex binds to DNA and displays numerous enzymatic activities that are required for nonhomologous joining of DNA ends. This protein, cooperating with its partners, is important for DNA double-strand break repair, cell cycle checkpoint activation, telomere maintenance, and meiotic recombination. Knockout studies of the mouse homolog suggest this gene is essential for cell growth and viability. Mutations in this gene are the cause of Nijmegen breakage syndrome-like disorder.
