The RAD18 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB5380) is a key tool for researchers studying RAD18, a protein involved in DNA damage response pathways. This antibody, produced in rabbits, shows high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding specifically to the RAD18 protein, this antibody allows for the accurate detection and analysis of RAD18 in various cell types, making it an excellent choice for those working in the fields of molecular biology and cancer research.RAD18 is known for its role in DNA repair mechanisms, specifically in the process of post-replication repair and DNA damage tolerance.
Dysregulation of RAD18 activity has been linked to genomic instability and increased susceptibility to cancer development. Investigating the function of RAD18 is essential for understanding how cells maintain genomic integrity and how disruption of this process can lead to disease progression. The RAD18 Polyclonal Antibody provides researchers with a valuable tool for exploring these critical pathways and potential therapeutic targets.
Product Name:
Rad18 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit

Human
Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 216-495 of human Rad18 (NP_064550.3).
The protein encoded by this gene is highly similar to S. cerevisiae DNA damage repair protein Rad18. Yeast Rad18 functions through its interaction with Rad6, which is an ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme required for post-replication repair of damaged DNA. Similar to its yeast counterpart, this protein is able to interact with the human homolog of yeast Rad6 protein through a conserved ring-finger motif. Mutation of this motif results in defective replication of UV-damaged DNA and hypersensitivity to multiple mutagens.
