The Rab7A Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1154) is a valuable tool for researchers studying Rab7A, a small GTPase involved in the regulation of endocytic trafficking and lysosomal biogenesis. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity when used with human samples, making it ideal for Western blot applications.Rab7A plays a crucial role in the late endocytic pathway, where it controls the trafficking of cargo proteins to lysosomes for degradation. Dysregulation of Rab7A has been linked to various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders and cancer.
By targeting Rab7A with this antibody, researchers can investigate its function in cellular processes and explore its potential as a therapeutic target. With its ability to specifically recognize Rab7A protein in various cell types, the Rab7A Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for studying intracellular trafficking mechanisms and their implications in disease. Researchers in the fields of cell biology, neurobiology, and cancer research will benefit from the accurate and reliable detection provided by this antibody.

RAB family members are small, RAS-related GTP-binding proteins that are important regulators of vesicular transport. Each RAB protein targets multiple proteins that act in exocytic / endocytic pathways. This gene encodes a RAB family member that regulates vesicle traffic in the late endosomes and also from late endosomes to lysosomes. This encoded protein is also involved in the cellular vacuolation of the VacA cytotoxin of Helicobacter pylori. Mutations at highly conserved amino acid residues in this gene have caused some forms of Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) type 2 neuropathies.
