The Rab40AL Polyclonal Antibody (PACO59876) is an essential tool for researchers studying Rab40AL, a member of the Rab GTPase family involved in intracellular protein trafficking. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in Western blot experiments. By specifically binding to the Rab40AL protein, this antibody allows for precise detection and analysis in various cell types, making it suitable for investigations in cell biology and molecular transport mechanisms.
Rab40AL plays a crucial role in regulating vesicle trafficking and protein sorting within cells, making it a key player in cellular homeostasis and organelle function. Its involvement in these processes makes Rab40AL an attractive target for research into diseases related to protein mislocalization or trafficking defects, such as neurodegenerative disorders and lysosomal storage diseases. By elucidating the functions of Rab40AL, researchers can gain insights into potential therapeutic strategies for these conditions.

Immunofluorescence staining of MCF-7 cells with PACO59876 at 1:33, counter-stained with DAPI. The cells were fixed in 4% formaldehyde, permeabilized using 0.2% Triton X-100 and blocked in 10% normal Goat Serum. The cells were then incubated with the antibody overnight at 4°C. The secondary antibody was Alexa Fluor 488-congugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L).
Background:
May be a substrate-recognition component of a SCF-like ECS (Elongin-Cullin-SOCS-box protein) E3 ubiquitin ligase complex which mediates the ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins.

NCBI Summary:
This gene encodes a member of the Rab40 subfamily of Rab small GTP-binding proteins that contains a C-terminal suppressors of cytokine signaling box. Disruptions in this gene are associated with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2010]
