The Rab13 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB10571) is a valuable tool for researchers studying Rab13, a member of the Rab GTPase family involved in intracellular membrane trafficking. This antibody, raised in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity for detecting Rab13 in various cell types, making it suitable for use in Western blot applications. Rab13 plays a crucial role in regulating vesicular transport and membrane dynamics within cells, contributing to processes such as endocytosis, exocytosis, and organelle positioning. Dysregulation of Rab13 has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and metabolic syndromes, highlighting its significance as a potential therapeutic target.
By utilizing the Rab13 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can gain insights into the functions and mechanisms of Rab13 in cellular processes, providing valuable information for understanding disease pathogenesis and developing targeted interventions. This antibody is a valuable asset for investigations in cell biology, molecular biology, and drug development, offering reliable and reproducible results for advancing scientific knowledge and medical advancements.

This gene is a member of the Rab family of small G proteins and plays a role in regulating membrane trafficking between trans-Golgi network (TGN) and recycling endosomes (RE). The encoded protein is involved in the assembly of tight junctions, which are components of the apical junctional complex (AJC) of epithelial cells. The AJC plays a role in forming a barrier between luminal contents and the underlying tissue. Additional functions associated with the protein include endocytic recycling of occludin, regulation of epithelial cell scattering, neuronal regeneration and regulation of neurite outgrowth. Alternately spliced transcript variants have been observed for this gene. A pseudogene associated with this gene is located on chromosome 12.
