The QuickStep Canine Cortisol ELISA Kit is specifically designed for the accurate measurement of cortisol levels in canine serum, plasma, and saliva samples. This kit is highly sensitive and provides reliable and reproducible results, making it ideal for research studies and clinical applications in veterinary medicine.Cortisol is a vital hormone that plays a crucial role in the body's response to stress, metabolism, immune function, and overall well-being in dogs. Abnormal cortisol levels can indicate underlying health conditions such as Cushing's disease, Addison's disease, and adrenal insufficiency.
Monitoring cortisol levels in dogs is essential for diagnosing and managing these conditions, as well as evaluating the response to treatment. With the QuickStep Canine Cortisol ELISA Kit, researchers and veterinarians can accurately measure cortisol levels in canine samples, aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of hormonal disorders in dogs. This kit is easy to use, cost-effective, and provides reliable results, making it a valuable tool for studying canine endocrinology and improving the health and well-being of dogs.

This ELISA kit uses the Competitive-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with Bovine Cortisol. Samples (or Standards) and Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) linked antibody specific for Bovine Cortisol are added to the micro ELISA plate wells. Bovine Cortisol in samples (or standards) competes with a fixed amount of Bovine Cortisol on the solid phase supporter for sites on the HRP linked detection antibody specific to Bovine Cortisol. Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed from the plate. The substrate solution is added to each well. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 ± 2 nm. The concentration of Bovine Cortisol in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
