The PTPRA Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1976) is a valuable tool for researchers studying protein tyrosine phosphatase receptor type A (PTPRA), a critical enzyme involved in cell signaling and regulation. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific for human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications.PTPRA is known to play a key role in regulating cellular processes such as cell growth, differentiation, and survival. Dysregulation of PTPRA has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, diabetes, and neurological disorders. By targeting PTPRA with this antibody, researchers can better understand its function and potential therapeutic implications in these conditions.
With its ability to detect and analyze PTPRA protein expression in a variety of cell types, the PTPRA Polyclonal Antibody is an essential tool for studies related to cell signaling, metabolism, and disease pathology. This antibody provides researchers with a reliable means of investigating the role of PTPRA in health and disease, ultimately advancing our knowledge of cellular signaling mechanisms and potential treatment strategies.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family. PTPs are known to be signaling molecules that regulate a variety of cellular processes including cell growth, differentiation, mitotic cycle, and oncogenic transformation. This PTP contains an extracellular domain, a single transmembrane segment and two tandem intracytoplasmic catalytic domains, and thus represents a receptor-type PTP. This PTP has been shown to dephosphorylate and activate Src family tyrosine kinases, and is implicated in the regulation of integrin signaling, cell adhesion and proliferation. Three alternatively spliced variants of this gene, which encode two distinct isoforms, have been reported.
