The PTH1R Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1744) is a valuable tool for research involving the parathyroid hormone 1 receptor (PTH1R), a G protein-coupled receptor that plays a key role in regulating calcium and phosphate homeostasis in the body. This antibody, generated in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications.PTH1R is expressed in various tissues, including bones, kidneys, and parathyroid glands, and is involved in mediating the effects of parathyroid hormone (PTH) on bone metabolism and calcium regulation.
Dysregulation of PTH1R signaling is associated with disorders such as osteoporosis, hyperparathyroidism, and metabolic bone diseases.By detecting and analyzing PTH1R protein expression, researchers can gain insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying these conditions and potentially identify new therapeutic targets for bone health and mineral metabolism disorders. The PTH1R Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for investigating the function and regulation of PTH1R in both normal physiology and disease states.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 27-188 of human PTH1R (NP_000307.1).
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the G-protein coupled receptor family 2. This protein is a receptor for parathyroid hormone (PTH) and for parathyroid hormone-like hormone (PTHLH). The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins which activate adenylyl cyclase and also a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. Defects in this receptor are known to be the cause of Jansen's metaphyseal chondrodysplasia (JMC), chondrodysplasia Blomstrand type (BOCD), as well as enchodromatosis. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene.
