The PTGER1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB2913) is specifically designed for research involving the PTGER1 protein, which is a G protein-coupled receptor known to be involved in various physiological processes, including inflammation and immune response modulation. The antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly reactive with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. Its binding capability enables the detection and analysis of PTGER1 in different cell types, making it an ideal tool for studies in immunology and inflammatory diseases.
PTGER1, also known as EP1, plays a critical role in mediating the inflammatory response by modulating the production of pro-inflammatory mediators. Its involvement in immune regulation makes it a potential target for research into diseases such as arthritis, asthma, and autoimmune disorders. Understanding the function of PTGER1 is crucial for the development of therapies aimed at modulating inflammation and immune responses in these pathological conditions.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the G protein-coupled receptor family. This protein is one of four receptors identified for prostaglandin E2 (PGE2). Through a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system, G-Q proteins mediate this receptor's activity. Knockout studies in mice suggested a role of this receptor in mediating algesia and in regulation of blood pressure. Studies in mice also suggested that this gene may mediate adrenocorticotropic hormone response to bacterial endotoxin.
