The PTGER1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB12310) is specifically designed for research involving PTGER1, also known as the Prostaglandin E Receptor 1. This cell surface receptor is involved in mediating the effects of prostaglandin E2, an important lipid mediator in inflammation and immune responses.Raised in rabbits, this antibody is highly reactive with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the PTGER1 protein, this antibody allows for the detection and analysis of PTGER1 in various cell types, making it an ideal tool for studies in immunology, inflammation, and cancer research. The PTGER1 receptor plays a crucial role in modulating inflammatory responses and immune regulation.
Its involvement in signaling pathways related to inflammation and immunity makes it a valuable target for research into diseases such as cancer, autoimmune disorders, and inflammatory conditions. Understanding the function of PTGER1 is essential for developing therapeutic strategies that target or modulate immune responses in these disease contexts.Overall, the PTGER1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB12310) is a reliable tool for researchers looking to delve into the role of PTGER1 in inflammation, immunity, and disease, offering insights that could potentially lead to the development of novel therapeutic approaches.
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the G protein-coupled receptor family. This protein is one of four receptors identified for prostaglandin E2 (PGE2). Through a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system, G-Q proteins mediate this receptor's activity. Knockout studies in mice suggested a role of this receptor in mediating algesia and in regulation of blood pressure. Studies in mice also suggested that this gene may mediate adrenocorticotropic hormone response to bacterial endotoxin.
