The PTBP1 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (CAB3487) is a revolutionary tool for researchers studying PTBP1, a key protein involved in RNA splicing and regulation. This high-quality antibody, produced from rabbit monoclonal cells, offers exceptional sensitivity and specificity in detecting PTBP1 in human samples. Validated for use in Western blot applications, this antibody binds specifically to PTBP1, allowing for precise detection and analysis in various cell types.PTBP1, also known as polypyrimidine tract-binding protein 1, plays a crucial role in post-transcriptional gene regulation by controlling alternative splicing of pre-mRNA.
Its dysregulation has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and neurological disorders. By targeting PTBP1, researchers can gain insights into the mechanisms underlying these conditions and potentially develop novel therapeutic strategies. This antibody is an invaluable tool for scientists conducting research in molecular biology, genetics, and biomedicine. Its reliability and accuracy make it a must-have for studies aimed at elucidating the functions of PTBP1 and its implications in disease pathology. Discover the potential of PTBP1 with the PTBP1 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (CAB3487).

This gene belongs to the subfamily of ubiquitously expressed heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs). The hnRNPs are RNA-binding proteins and they complex with heterogeneous nuclear RNA (hnRNA). These proteins are associated with pre-mRNAs in the nucleus and appear to influence pre-mRNA processing and other aspects of mRNA metabolism and transport. While all of the hnRNPs are present in the nucleus, some seem to shuttle between the nucleus and the cytoplasm. The hnRNP proteins have distinct nucleic acid binding properties. The protein encoded by this gene has four repeats of quasi-RNA recognition motif (RRM) domains that bind RNAs. This protein binds to the intronic polypyrimidine tracts that requires pre-mRNA splicing and acts via the protein degradation ubiquitin-proteasome pathway. It may also promote the binding of U2 snRNP to pre-mRNAs. This protein is localized in the nucleoplasm and it is also detected in the perinucleolar structure. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described.
