Description
PSMD11 Monoclonal Antibody [PAT1F4AT] (CPAB0164)
The PSMD11 Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0164) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the PSMD11 protein, a component of the 26S proteasome complex involved in protein degradation. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity for human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications.PSMD11 is essential for the proper functioning of the proteasome complex, which plays a crucial role in regulating cellular processes by degrading unwanted or damaged proteins. Dysregulation of the proteasome system has been linked to various diseases, including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and autoimmune conditions.
By targeting PSMD11, researchers can gain insights into the mechanisms underlying these diseases and potentially develop novel therapeutic strategies. The PSMD11 Polyclonal Antibody enables the detection and analysis of PSMD11 protein levels in different cell types, making it a versatile tool for research in molecular biology, cell biology, and disease mechanisms. By studying PSMD11 expression and function, researchers can further unravel the complex interplay of protein degradation pathways and their impact on cellular homeostasis.

Background: | The 26S proteasome is a multicatalytic proteinase complex with a well ordered structure composed of two complexes- a 20S core and a 19S regulator. PSMD11 is a non-ATPase subunit of the 19S regulator. The 20S core is composed of four rings of 28 non-identical subunits; two rings are composed of 7 alpha subunits and two rings are composed of 7 beta subunits. The 19S regulator is composed of a base that contains six ATPase subunits and two non-ATPase subunits, and a lid that contains up to ten non-ATPase subunits. Proteasomes are spread throughout eukaryotic cells at a high concentration and cleave peptides in an ATP/ubiquitin-dependent process in a non-lysosomal pathway. An indispensable function of a modified proteasome, the immunoproteasome, is the processing of class I MHC peptides. |
