The Protein Argonaute-1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB6022) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the Argonaute family of proteins, specifically Argonaute-1. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific and reactive with human samples, making it ideal for Western blot applications. By binding to the Argonaute-1 protein, researchers can detect and analyze its presence in various cell types, facilitating studies in molecular biology, gene regulation, and RNA interference.Argonaute-1 is a key player in the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC), a pathway involved in post-transcriptional gene silencing. Understanding the function and regulation of Argonaute-1 is essential for unraveling the complex mechanisms of gene expression control and RNA interference.
This antibody enables researchers to investigate the role of Argonaute-1 in various biological processes, including development, differentiation, and disease progression.Overall, the Protein Argonaute-1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB6022) is a reliable tool for researchers interested in studying the intricate pathways governed by the Argonaute family of proteins. Its high specificity and reactivity with human samples make it a valuable resource for advancing our understanding of gene regulation and RNA interference mechanisms.

This gene encodes a member of the argonaute family of proteins, which associate with small RNAs and have important roles in RNA interference (RNAi) and RNA silencing. This protein binds to microRNAs (miRNAs) or small interfering RNAs (siRNAs) and represses translation of mRNAs that are complementary to them. It is also involved in transcriptional gene silencing (TGS) of promoter regions that are complementary to bound short antigene RNAs (agRNAs), as well as in the degradation of miRNA-bound mRNA targets. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. A recent study showed this gene to be an authentic stop codon readthrough target, and that its mRNA could give rise to an additional C-terminally extended isoform by use of an alternative in-frame translation termination codon.
