The PROS1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1595) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the Protein S (PROS1) molecule, which plays a crucial role in the regulation of blood coagulation and inflammation. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications.PROS1 is known for its anticoagulant properties and involvement in the protein C anticoagulant pathway. Dysregulation of PROS1 has been linked to various coagulation disorders, making it a promising target for research in hemostasis and thrombosis.
The PROS1 Polyclonal Antibody specifically binds to the PROS1 protein, allowing for precise detection and analysis in a variety of cell types. The ability to study PROS1 with this antibody is invaluable for researchers investigating blood clotting disorders, vascular diseases, and other conditions related to coagulation pathways. By gaining a deeper understanding of the role of PROS1 in these processes, scientists can work towards developing new therapeutic strategies for managing these complex disorders effectively.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 405-676 of human PROS1 (NP_000304.2).
This gene encodes a vitamin K-dependent plasma protein that functions as a cofactor for the anticoagulant protease, activated protein C (APC) to inhibit blood coagulation. It is found in plasma in both a free, functionally active form and also in an inactive form complexed with C4b-binding protein. Mutations in this gene result in autosomal dominant hereditary thrombophilia. An inactive pseudogene of this locus is located at an adjacent region on chromosome 3. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms that may undergo similar processing to generate mature protein.
