Description
Pro-MMP9 Monoclonal Antibody (CAB23919)
The Pro-MMP9 Monoclonal Antibody from Assay Genie is a highly specific and sensitive tool for studying matrix metalloproteinase 9 (MMP9), a key enzyme involved in extracellular matrix remodeling and tissue repair. This monoclonal antibody, developed using state-of-the-art technology, recognizes human MMP9 with exceptional accuracy and precision, making it an essential component of research in cancer biology, inflammation, and wound healing.MMP9, also known as gelatinase B, is a critical player in the degradation of extracellular matrix proteins and basement membrane components, essential processes for tissue remodeling and cell migration. Dysregulation of MMP9 activity has been implicated in numerous pathological conditions, including cancer metastasis, arthritis, and cardiovascular diseases.
By targeting MMP9 with this highly specific antibody, researchers can gain valuable insights into its role in disease progression and potential therapeutic interventions. The Pro-MMP9 Monoclonal Antibody is validated for use in a variety of experimental applications, including Western blotting, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry. Its high sensitivity and specificity ensure accurate detection and quantification of MMP9 protein levels in cell lysates, tissue samples, and culture supernatants. With its exceptional performance and reliability, this antibody is a valuable tool for scientists investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying disease progression and potential targets for therapeutic intervention.

This gene encodes a member of the matrix metalloproteinase family of extracellular matrix-degrading enzymes that are involved in tissue remodeling, wound repair, progression of atherosclerosis and tumor invasion. The encoded preproprotein undergoes proteolytic processing to generate a mature, zinc-dependent endopeptidase enzyme that degrades collagens of type IV, V and XI, and elastin. Mice lacking the encoded protein exhibit an abnormal pattern of skeletal growth plate vascularization and ossification, reduced keratinocyte hyperproliferation at all neoplastic stages, a decreased incidence of invasive tumors, and resistance to experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis.
