The PRMT7 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB12159) is a valuable tool for studying PRMT7, a protein involved in post-translational modifications and gene regulation. This antibody is produced in rabbits and exhibits high specificity towards human samples, making it suitable for use in Western blot applications. By binding to PRMT7, researchers can accurately detect and analyze the protein in various cell types, allowing for in-depth investigations into its role in cellular processes and disease pathology.PRMT7, a member of the protein arginine methyltransferase (PRMT) family, plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression through the methylation of arginine residues on histones and other proteins.
Dysregulation of PRMT7 has been linked to various diseases, including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and metabolic conditions. By studying the function of PRMT7, researchers can gain insights into the mechanisms underlying these diseases and potentially identify novel therapeutic targets for intervention. In summary, the PRMT7 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB12159) provides researchers with a powerful tool for investigating the biological functions of PRMT7 in health and disease. Its specificity and reliability make it a valuable asset for studies in molecular biology, cell biology, and drug discovery.

This gene encodes a member of the protein arginine N-methyltransferase family of proteins. The encoded enzyme transfers single methyl groups to arginine residues to generate monomethylarginines on histone proteins as well as other protein substrates. This enzyme plays a role in a wide range of biological processes, including neuronal differentiation, male germ line imprinting, small nuclear ribonucleoprotein biogenesis, and regulation of the Wnt signaling pathway. Mutations in this gene underlie multiple related syndromes in human patients characterized by intellectual disability, short stature and other features. The encoded protein may promote breast cancer cell invasion and metastasis in human patients.
