The PRMT1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1055) is specifically designed for research involving PRMT1, a protein involved in various cellular processes, including signal transduction, transcriptional regulation, and DNA repair. This antibody, produced in rabbits, has high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications.PRMT1 is a member of the protein arginine methyltransferase (PRMT) family and plays a crucial role in post-translational modification by catalyzing the methylation of arginine residues. It is known to be involved in various biological processes, including cell cycle regulation, RNA processing, and protein localization.
The PRMT1 Polyclonal Antibody binds specifically to the PRMT1 protein, allowing for detection and analysis in a variety of cell types.Research into PRMT1 is important for understanding its role in cancer development, as well as its potential as a therapeutic target. With its involvement in regulating gene expression and cell growth, PRMT1 is of interest in studying cancer progression and developing targeted therapies. By investigating the function of PRMT1, researchers can gain insights into its potential as a biomarker or drug target in cancer treatment and other diseases.

This gene encodes a member of the protein arginine N-methyltransferase (PRMT) family. Post-translational modification of target proteins by PRMTs plays an important regulatory role in many biological processes, whereby PRMTs methylate arginine residues by transferring methyl groups from S-adenosyl-L-methionine to terminal guanidino nitrogen atoms. The encoded protein is a type I PRMT and is responsible for the majority of cellular arginine methylation activity. Increased expression of this gene may play a role in many types of cancer. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene, and a pseudogene of this gene is located on the long arm of chromosome 5.
