The PRKAA1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1229) is a valuable tool for research involving PRKAA1, a key regulator of cellular energy metabolism and growth. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific and reactive with human samples, making it ideal for studies in molecular biology and cancer research. Validated for use in Western blot applications, it binds specifically to the PRKAA1 protein, enabling precise detection and analysis in various cell types.PRKAA1, also known as AMP-activated protein kinase alpha 1, plays a crucial role in cellular energy sensing and metabolic regulation.
Dysregulation of PRKAA1 has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, diabetes, and cardiovascular disorders. Understanding the function of PRKAA1 is essential for developing targeted therapies that modulate cellular metabolism and growth in disease contexts.Overall, the PRKAA1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1229) offers researchers a reliable and robust tool for studying the role of PRKAA1 in cellular physiology and disease pathogenesis. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it a valuable asset in advancing our understanding of these critical biological processes.
Product Name:
AMPKα1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
SKU:
CAB1229
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit

Human,Mouse,Rat
Immunogen:
A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 381-520 of human AMPKα1 (NP_006242.5).
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the ser/thr protein kinase family. It is the catalytic subunit of the 5'-prime-AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK). AMPK is a cellular energy sensor conserved in all eukaryotic cells. The kinase activity of AMPK is activated by the stimuli that increase the cellular AMP/ATP ratio. AMPK regulates the activities of a number of key metabolic enzymes through phosphorylation. It protects cells from stresses that cause ATP depletion by switching off ATP-consuming biosynthetic pathways. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been observed.
