Description
PPM1F Monoclonal Antibody [PAT6D11AT] (CPAB0183)
The PPM1F Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0183) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the protein phosphatase PPM1F, which is involved in various cellular processes such as cell cycle regulation, DNA damage response, and apoptosis. This antibody, developed in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding specifically to PPM1F, researchers can accurately detect and analyze its expression in a variety of cell types, making it an ideal choice for studies in molecular biology and cancer research.
PPM1F, also known as protein phosphatase 1F, plays a crucial role in maintaining cellular homeostasis by regulating the phosphorylation status of key signaling proteins. Its involvement in cellular processes related to cell growth, proliferation, and survival highlights its importance as a potential therapeutic target for diseases such as cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. Investigating the functions of PPM1F can provide valuable insights into its role in disease pathogenesis and potential therapeutic interventions aimed at modulating its activity.

Background: | Protein Phosphatase 1F (PPM1F) is a part of the PP2C family of Ser/Thr protein phosphatases whose members are known to be negative regulators of cell stress response pathways. PPM1F interacts with Rho guanine nucleotide exchange factors (PIX), and as a result blocks the effects of p21-activated kinase 1 (PAK), a protein kinase mediating biological effects downstream of Rho GTPases. Calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II gamma (CAMK2G/CAMK-II) is one of the substrates of PPM1F. PPM1F is found to be an apoptosis Promoter. |
Synonyms: | Protein phosphatase 1F, Ca(2+)/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase phosphatase, CaM-kinase phosphatase, CaMKPase, Partner of PIX 2, Protein fem-2 homolog, hFem-2, KIAA0015, POPX2, PPM1F, CAMKP, FEM-2. |
