The PPIA Polyclonal Antibody (CAB0993) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase A (PPIA) protein, also known as cyclophilin A. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and is suitable for use in Western blot applications.PPIA is a multifunctional protein involved in protein folding and signaling pathways, making it a key player in cellular processes. Its role in immune response modulation and its association with various diseases, including cancer and viral infections, have attracted significant interest from researchers in the fields of immunology and virology.
By using the PPIA Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can detect and analyze PPIA protein levels in different cell types, providing valuable insights into its function and potential as a therapeutic target. This antibody is a powerful tool for advancing our understanding of PPIA biology and its implications in health and disease.

This gene encodes a member of the peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase (PPIase) family. PPIases catalyze the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides and accelerate the folding of proteins. The encoded protein is a cyclosporin binding-protein and may play a role in cyclosporin A-mediated immunosuppression. The protein can also interact with several HIV proteins, including p55 gag, Vpr, and capsid protein, and has been shown to be necessary for the formation of infectious HIV virions. Multiple pseudogenes that map to different chromosomes have been reported.
