The PPfibp1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB16456) is a valuable tool for researchers studying PPfibp1, a protein involved in regulating cell proliferation and differentiation processes. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications.PPfibp1, also known as proline-rich protein binding to FGF-1, is a key player in the signaling pathways that control cell growth and development. By targeting PPfibp1, researchers can better understand its role in various cell types and its implications in diseases such as cancer and developmental disorders.
With its ability to specifically detect and analyze PPfibp1 protein, this antibody is essential for studies in molecular biology, cell biology, and cancer research. By gaining insights into the function of PPfibp1, researchers can potentially uncover new therapeutic targets and improve treatment strategies for a range of diseases.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the LAR protein-tyrosine phosphatase-interacting protein (liprin) family. Liprins interact with members of LAR family of transmembrane protein tyrosine phosphatases, which are known to be important for axon guidance and mammary gland development. It has been proposed that liprins are multivalent proteins that form complex structures and act as scaffolds for the recruitment and anchoring of LAR family of tyrosine phosphatases. This protein was found to interact with S100A4, a calcium-binding protein related to tumor invasiveness and metastasis. In vitro experiment demonstrated that the interaction inhibited the phosphorylation of this protein by protein kinase C and protein kinase CK2. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported.
