Description
Porcine IL-1β ELISA Kit
The Porcine IL-1β ELISA Kit is a specialized assay designed for the precise and quantitative measurement of Interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β) levels in a variety of biological samples obtained from porcine models. IL-1β is a vital pro-inflammatory cytokine central to numerous cellular functions, such as cell proliferation, differentiation, and programmed cell death. It serves as a key mediator in the immune system, orchestrating inflammatory responses and has been linked to various inflammatory conditions, autoimmune diseases, and infectious processes. Accurate quantification of IL-1β is essential for elucidating its mechanistic role in disease pathophysiology and for devising targeted intervention strategies.
The Porcine IL-1β ELISA Kit provided by Assay Genie exemplifies exceptional sensitivity and specificity, enabling researchers to generate reliable and reproducible results. Manufactured under stringent quality control guidelines, this ELISA kit ensures robust performance, delivering precise data that researchers can depend on for their investigations. Its user-friendly protocols further simplify experimental workflows, making it an ideal choice for porcine immunology and inflammatory research, offering a comprehensive solution for exploring IL-1β dynamics and immunological responses in porcine models.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Porcine IL-1β. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Porcine IL-1β and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Porcine IL-1β, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Porcine IL-1β. You can calculate the concentration of Porcine IL-1β in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
Precision
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, mid range and high level Porcine IL-1β were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, mid range and high level Porcine IL-1β were tested on 3 different plates, 20 replicates in each plate.
