The Anti-PODXL Antibody (CAB4554) is a valuable tool for researchers studying PODXL, a cell surface glycoprotein involved in cell adhesion and migration. This polyclonal antibody is produced in rabbits and exhibits high reactivity with human samples, making it ideal for use in various immunological and cancer research applications. PODXL, also known as podocalyxin-like protein, plays a crucial role in multiple biological processes, including cell signaling, tumor progression, and stem cell maintenance. Its overexpression has been linked to aggressive cancer behaviors and poor prognosis in a variety of malignancies.
The Anti-PODXL Antibody enables precise detection and analysis of PODXL expression in different cell types, offering valuable insights into its functional roles and potential therapeutic targeting strategies. With its specificity and reliability in Western blot applications, the Anti-PODXL Antibody is a valuable asset for researchers aiming to unravel the complex mechanisms underlying PODXL-mediated cellular processes. By elucidating the involvement of PODXL in disease pathogenesis and progression, this antibody facilitates the development of innovative approaches for cancer diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 300-479 of human PODXL (O00592).
This gene encodes a member of the sialomucin protein family. The encoded protein was originally identified as an important component of glomerular podocytes. Podocytes are highly differentiated epithelial cells with interdigitating foot processes covering the outer aspect of the glomerular basement membrane. Other biological activities of the encoded protein include: binding in a membrane protein complex with Na+/H+ exchanger regulatory factor to intracellular cytoskeletal elements, playing a role in hematopoetic cell differentiation, and being expressed in vascular endothelium cells and binding to L-selectin.
