The PNPT1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB11676) is a valuable tool for research involving PNPT1, a protein that plays a critical role in RNA metabolism and mitochondrial function. This antibody is raised in rabbits and has been validated for use in Western blot applications, providing researchers with a highly reactive and specific tool for detecting PNPT1 in human samples.PNPT1, also known as polynucleotide phosphorylase and mitochondrial RNase P, is essential for maintaining mitochondrial RNA stability and cellular energy production. Dysregulation of PNPT1 has been linked to various diseases, including mitochondrial disorders and cancer.
By studying the expression and function of PNPT1 using this antibody, researchers can gain valuable insights into its role in disease progression and potential therapeutic targets. This PNPT1 Polyclonal Antibody offers researchers a reliable and specific tool for studying PNPT1 in various cell types and tissues, making it an ideal choice for studies in molecular biology, biochemistry, and mitochondrial research. Its high reactivity and specificity make it a valuable asset for advancing our understanding of PNPT1 and its implications in human health and disease.

Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-260 of human PNPT1 (NP_149100.2).
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the evolutionary conserved polynucleotide phosphorylase family comprised of phosphate dependent 3'-to-5' exoribonucleases implicated in RNA processing and degradation. This enzyme is predominantly localized in the mitochondrial intermembrane space and is involved in import of RNA to mitochondria. Mutations in this gene have been associated with combined oxidative phosphorylation deficiency-13 and autosomal recessive nonsyndromic deafness-70. Related pseudogenes are found on chromosomes 3 and 7.
