The PLOD1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB7919) is a valuable tool for researchers studying PLOD1, a key enzyme involved in collagen biosynthesis. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity for detecting PLOD1 in human samples, making it ideal for use in Western blotting applications. By targeting the PLOD1 enzyme, researchers can investigate its role in collagen production and connective tissue disorders, offering insights into potential therapeutic strategies for conditions such as Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and fibrosis.
The PLOD1 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable asset for research in the fields of molecular biology, biochemistry, and connective tissue diseases.

Lysyl hydroxylase is a membrane-bound homodimeric protein localized to the cisternae of the endoplasmic reticulum. The enzyme (cofactors iron and ascorbate) catalyzes the hydroxylation of lysyl residues in collagen-like peptides. The resultant hydroxylysyl groups are attachment sites for carbohydrates in collagen and thus are critical for the stability of intermolecular crosslinks. Some patients with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome type VI have deficiencies in lysyl hydroxylase activity. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
