The PIM1 Polyclonal Antibody is a powerful tool for researchers studying the PIM1 protein, which is involved in regulating cell growth and survival. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific and reactive with human samples, making it ideal for use in Western blot applications. By targeting the PIM1 protein, researchers can accurately detect and analyze its expression in various cell types, providing valuable insights into its role in cancer and other diseases. The PIM1 protein is a serine/threonine kinase that is frequently overexpressed in various cancers, including lymphoma, leukemia, and solid tumors. Its aberrant activity has been linked to increased cell proliferation, survival, and resistance to chemotherapy, making it an attractive target for drug development.
By studying the expression and function of PIM1 using this antibody, researchers can gain a better understanding of its role in cancer progression and potentially identify new therapeutic strategies.Overall, the PIM1 Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable tool for researchers interested in exploring the role of the PIM1 protein in cancer biology. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an invaluable resource for studying the molecular mechanisms underlying cancer development and progression.
Product Name:
PIM1 Polyclonal Antibody
SKU:
CAB24475
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit

Human,Mouse,Rat
Immunogen:
A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 213-313 of human PIM1 (NP_002639.1).
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the Ser/Thr protein kinase family, and PIM subfamily. This gene is expressed primarily in B-lymphoid and myeloid cell lines, and is overexpressed in hematopoietic malignancies and in prostate cancer. It plays a role in signal transduction in blood cells, contributing to both cell proliferation and survival, and thus provides a selective advantage in tumorigenesis. Both the human and orthologous mouse genes have been reported to encode two isoforms (with preferential cellular localization) resulting from the use of alternative in-frame translation initiation codons, the upstream non-AUG (CUG) and downstream AUG codons (PMIDs:16186805, 1825810).
