The Pig Cortisol ELISA Kit is expertly designed for the quantitative detection of cortisol levels in various pig biological samples. Cortisol is an essential hormone, produced by the adrenal glands of pigs, significantly influencing the stress responses, metabolic processes, and anti-inflammatory actions. Involved in a multitude of biological activities including glucose regulation, and the metabolism of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates, accurate measurement of cortisol is crucial for understanding its role in stress-related disorders, endocrine diseases, and metabolic complications in pigs.
Assay Genie's Pig Cortisol ELISA Kit offers superior sensitivity and specificity, ensuring reliable and reproducible results. Manufactured under stringent quality control standards, this kit guarantees robust performance and is easy to use, making it an ideal choice for both veterinary research and clinical applications. Trust Assay Genie's Pig Cortisol ELISA Kit for accurate and dependable quantification of this pivotal biomarker in your studies.

This ELISA kit uses the Competitive-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with Cortisol. During the reaction, Cortisol in the sample or standard competes with a fixed amount of Cortisol on the solid phase supporter for sites on the Biotinylated Detection Ab specific to Cortisol. Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed away, and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added to each micro plate well and incubated. Then a TMB substrate solution is added to each well. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns from blue to yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The concentration of Cortisol in tested samples can be calculated by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
