The Phospho-ZAP70 (Y493) Polyclonal Antibody (CABP0468) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the protein tyrosine kinase ZAP70, which plays a crucial role in T cell activation and signaling. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific to the phosphorylated form of ZAP70 at residue Y493 and is validated for use in Western blot applications. By targeting this phosphorylation site, researchers can investigate the activation status of ZAP70 in various cell types, shedding light on its role in immune responses and diseases such as cancer and autoimmune disorders.
ZAP70 is a key player in the signaling pathways that regulate T cell activation and function, making it an important target for therapeutic intervention in immune-related disorders. Understanding the phosphorylation status of ZAP70 at residue Y493 is essential for unraveling the complex mechanisms that govern T cell signaling and immune responses. This antibody provides researchers with a powerful tool to study the activation status of ZAP70 and its implications in immunology and disease research.

This gene encodes an enzyme belonging to the protein tyrosine kinase family, and it plays a role in T-cell development and lymphocyte activation. This enzyme, which is phosphorylated on tyrosine residues upon T-cell antigen receptor (TCR) stimulation, functions in the initial step of TCR-mediated signal transduction in combination with the Src family kinases, Lck and Fyn. This enzyme is also essential for thymocyte development. Mutations in this gene cause selective T-cell defect, a severe combined immunodeficiency disease characterized by a selective absence of CD8-positive T-cells. Two transcript variants that encode different isoforms have been found for this gene.
