The Phospho-STAT4 (Y693) Polyclonal Antibody (CABP0137) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the phosphorylation of STAT4 at tyrosine 693, a key event in the activation of this transcription factor. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity towards human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications.STAT4 plays a crucial role in the regulation of immune responses, particularly in the development of Th1 cells and the production of proinflammatory cytokines. Phosphorylation of STAT4 at tyrosine 693 is essential for its activation and downstream signaling, making it a focus of interest in immunology and cancer research.
By targeting the phosphorylated form of STAT4, researchers can gain insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying immune regulation and inflammation, shedding light on potential therapeutic targets for diseases such as cancer, autoimmune disorders, and inflammatory conditions. The Phospho-STAT4 (Y693) Polyclonal Antibody offers a powerful tool for investigating these processes and advancing our understanding of immune function.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the STAT family of transcription factors. In response to cytokines and growth factors, STAT family members are phosphorylated by the receptor associated kinases, and then form homo- or heterodimers that translocate to the cell nucleus where they act as transcription activators. This protein is essential for mediating responses to IL12 in lymphocytes, and regulating the differentiation of T helper cells. Mutations in this gene may be associated with systemic lupus erythematosus and rheumatoid arthritis. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants that encode the same protein.
