The Phospho-STAT1 (Y701) Polyclonal Antibody (CABP0858) is a high-quality research tool designed for studying the phosphorylation of STAT1 at tyrosine 701 residue. STAT1 is a key transcription factor that plays a crucial role in mediating cellular responses to various cytokines and growth factors involved in immune response and cell proliferation. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By targeting the phosphorylated form of STAT1 at tyrosine 701, researchers can study the activation of this important signaling pathway in different cell types and experimental conditions.
Understanding the activation and regulation of STAT1 signaling is essential for unraveling its role in immune response, inflammation, and cancer development. The Phospho-STAT1 (Y701) Polyclonal Antibody (CABP0858) offers a reliable tool for investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying these biological processes and may provide insights for the development of targeted therapies in diseases where STAT1 dysregulation is implicated.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the STAT protein family. In response to cytokines and growth factors, STAT family members are phosphorylated by the receptor associated kinases, and then form homo- or heterodimers that translocate to the cell nucleus where they act as transcription activators. The protein encoded by this gene can be activated by various ligands including interferon-alpha, interferon-gamma, EGF, PDGF and IL6. This protein mediates the expression of a variety of genes, which is thought to be important for cell viability in response to different cell stimuli and pathogens. The protein plays an important role in immune responses to viral, fungal and mycobacterial pathogens. Mutations in this gene are associated with Immunodeficiency 31B, 31A, and 31C.
