The Phospho-Src Family (Y416) Monoclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying the phosphorylation of Src family kinases, which play a key role in cell signaling and proliferation. This antibody, generated by AssayGenie, specifically detects the phosphorylation of tyrosine 416 on Src family kinases, a critical event in their activation. The antibody is highly specific for phosphorylated Src kinases and has been validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting and immunofluorescence. Its high sensitivity and specificity make it ideal for studying the activation status of Src kinases in cell signaling pathways, leading to a better understanding of their role in cancer, inflammation, and other disease processes.
By targeting the phosphorylation of tyrosine 416 on Src family kinases, this antibody provides researchers with a powerful tool for studying the regulation of cell growth, survival, and migration. Its versatility and reliability make it a valuable asset for any laboratory studying signaling pathways involving Src family kinases.

This gene is highly similar to the v-src gene of Rous sarcoma virus. This proto-oncogene may play a role in the regulation of embryonic development and cell growth. The protein encoded by this gene is a tyrosine-protein kinase whose activity can be inhibited by phosphorylation by c-SRC kinase. Mutations in this gene could be involved in the malignant progression of colon cancer. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene.
