The Phospho-Rb1 (S608) Polyclonal Antibody (CABP0570) is a valuable tool for studying the phosphorylation of the Retinoblastoma protein (Rb1) at serine 608. Rb1 is a tumor suppressor protein that plays a crucial role in cell cycle regulation and is commonly dysregulated in cancer. This polyclonal antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific for detecting phosphorylation at serine 608 of Rb1 in human samples. It is validated for use in Western blot applications, allowing for the detection and analysis of phosphorylated Rb1 in various cell types. The phosphorylation of Rb1 at serine 608 has been shown to regulate its activity and function in cell cycle control and tumor suppression.
Understanding the role of this phosphorylation event is important for unraveling the mechanisms underlying cancer development and progression.Researchers studying cell cycle regulation, cancer biology, and signaling pathways involving Rb1 will benefit from using the Phospho-Rb1 (S608) Polyclonal Antibody (CABP0570) in their experiments. Its high specificity and reliability make it a valuable tool for advancing knowledge in these fields.
Product Name:
Phospho-RB-S608 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
SKU:
CABP0570
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit
Reactivity:
Human
Immunogen:
A synthetic phosphorylated peptide around S608 of human RB (NP_000312.2).
The protein encoded by this gene is a negative regulator of the cell cycle and was the first tumor suppressor gene found. The encoded protein also stabilizes constitutive heterochromatin to maintain the overall chromatin structure. The active, hypophosphorylated form of the protein binds transcription factor E2F1. Defects in this gene are a cause of childhood cancer retinoblastoma (RB), bladder cancer, and osteogenic sarcoma.
Purification Method:
Affinity purification
Gene ID:
5925
Storage Buffer:
Store at -20℃. Avoid freeze / thaw cycles.Buffer: PBS with 0.02% sodium azide,50% glycerol,pH7.3.
