The RAF1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB0223) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the RAF1 protein, a key player in the MAPK signaling pathway that regulates cell growth, proliferation, and differentiation. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity when used in Western blot applications with human samples. By targeting the RAF1 protein, researchers can detect and analyze its expression in various cell types, providing insights into its role in cancer, developmental biology, and other disease-related pathways.
RAF1, a serine/threonine kinase, is a crucial component of the MAPK pathway, which is frequently dysregulated in cancer and other diseases. Understanding the function of RAF1 and its interactions within this signaling cascade is essential for uncovering potential therapeutic targets and developing personalized treatment strategies. The RAF1 Polyclonal Antibody offers researchers a reliable tool for investigating the intricate mechanisms underlying RAF1 activity, paving the way for advances in targeted therapies and precision medicine.

This gene is the cellular homolog of viral raf gene (v-raf). The encoded protein is a MAP kinase kinase kinase (MAP3K), which functions downstream of the Ras family of membrane associated GTPases to which it binds directly. Once activated, the cellular RAF1 protein can phosphorylate to activate the dual specificity protein kinases MEK1 and MEK2, which in turn phosphorylate to activate the serine/threonine specific protein kinases, ERK1 and ERK2. Activated ERKs are pleiotropic effectors of cell physiology and play an important role in the control of gene expression involved in the cell division cycle, apoptosis, cell differentiation and cell migration. Mutations in this gene are associated with Noonan syndrome 5 and LEOPARD syndrome 2.
