The Phospho-RAF1 (S338) Polyclonal Antibody (CABP0498) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the protein RAF1, a key player in the MAP kinase signaling pathway. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to the phosphorylated form of RAF1 at serine 338 and is validated for use in Western blot applications.RAF1 is a critical component of the MAP kinase pathway, which regulates cell growth, differentiation, and survival. Phosphorylation at serine 338 is known to activate RAF1 and promote downstream signaling cascades. By targeting this specific phosphorylation site, researchers can gain insight into the activation status of RAF1 and its impact on cellular processes.
The Phospho-RAF1 (S338) Polyclonal Antibody is ideal for studying signaling pathways involved in cancer, as dysregulation of RAF1 activity is commonly associated with tumorigenesis. Additionally, this antibody can be used to investigate other diseases and biological processes where the MAP kinase pathway plays a role.Overall, the Phospho-RAF1 (S338) Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers interested in understanding the role of RAF1 phosphorylation in cellular signaling and disease progression.

This gene is the cellular homolog of viral raf gene (v-raf). The encoded protein is a MAP kinase kinase kinase (MAP3K), which functions downstream of the Ras family of membrane associated GTPases to which it binds directly. Once activated, the cellular RAF1 protein can phosphorylate to activate the dual specificity protein kinases MEK1 and MEK2, which in turn phosphorylate to activate the serine/threonine specific protein kinases, ERK1 and ERK2. Activated ERKs are pleiotropic effectors of cell physiology and play an important role in the control of gene expression involved in the cell division cycle, apoptosis, cell differentiation and cell migration. Mutations in this gene are associated with Noonan syndrome 5 and LEOPARD syndrome 2.
