The Phospho-PTPRA (Y789) Polyclonal Antibody (CABP0814) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the phosphorylation of PTPRA, a protein tyrosine phosphatase receptor that plays a critical role in various cellular processes. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific for human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications.PTPRA is known to be involved in signaling pathways that regulate cell growth, differentiation, and survival. The phosphorylation of PTPRA at tyrosine 789 is particularly important in modulating its activity and function.
Studies have shown that dysregulation of PTPRA phosphorylation can contribute to the development of various diseases, including cancer and autoimmune disorders.By using the Phospho-PTPRA (Y789) Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can effectively detect and analyze the phosphorylation status of PTPRA in different cell types and tissue samples. This antibody is a valuable tool for further understanding the role of PTPRA in disease progression and identifying potential therapeutic targets for the development of novel treatments.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family. PTPs are known to be signaling molecules that regulate a variety of cellular processes including cell growth, differentiation, mitotic cycle, and oncogenic transformation. This PTP contains an extracellular domain, a single transmembrane segment and two tandem intracytoplasmic catalytic domains, and thus represents a receptor-type PTP. This PTP has been shown to dephosphorylate and activate Src family tyrosine kinases, and is implicated in the regulation of integrin signaling, cell adhesion and proliferation. Three alternatively spliced variants of this gene, which encode two distinct isoforms, have been reported.
