The Phospho-POLR2A (CTD S2/S5) Polyclonal Antibody is a powerful tool for researchers studying RNA polymerase II (POLR2A) phosphorylation at serine 2 and serine 5 within the C-terminal domain (CTD). This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity for detecting phosphorylated POLR2A in human samples, making it ideal for Western blotting applications.Phosphorylation of POLR2A at serine 2 and serine 5 plays a crucial role in the regulation of transcription, with implications for a wide range of cellular processes. The ability of this antibody to specifically target phosphorylated POLR2A allows researchers to investigate the dynamic regulation of gene expression in different cell types and under various conditions.
With its proven reliability and versatility, the Phospho-POLR2A (CTD S2/S5) Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable asset for studies in molecular biology, genomics, and epigenetics. By providing a deeper understanding of POLR2A phosphorylation, this antibody opens up new possibilities for advancing research in fields such as developmental biology, cancer biology, and drug discovery.

Immunogen:
A phospho specific peptide corresponding to residues surrounding S2/S5 of human POLR2A CTD repeat YSPTSPS.
This gene encodes the largest subunit of RNA polymerase II, the polymerase responsible for synthesizing messenger RNA in eukaryotes. The product of this gene contains a carboxy terminal domain composed of heptapeptide repeats that are essential for polymerase activity. These repeats contain serine and threonine residues that are phosphorylated in actively transcribing RNA polymerase. In addition, this subunit, in combination with several other polymerase subunits, forms the DNA binding domain of the polymerase, a groove in which the DNA template is transcribed into RNA.
