The Phospho-PLCG1 (S1248) Polyclonal Antibody (CABP0827) is a valuable tool for researchers studying PLCG1 phosphorylated at serine 1248, an important regulatory site involved in various cellular signaling pathways. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. It binds specifically to the phosphorylated form of PLCG1, allowing for detection and analysis in a variety of cell types.PLCG1 is a key enzyme in the phosphoinositide signaling pathway, playing a critical role in cellular responses to various extracellular stimuli. Phosphorylation at serine 1248 has been implicated in regulating PLCG1 activity and downstream signaling events.
Research on this phosphorylation site is important in understanding the complex mechanisms by which PLCG1 modulates cellular processes such as cell growth, differentiation, and immune responses. This antibody is an essential tool for investigating the role of PLCG1 phosphorylation in various physiological and pathological conditions, including cancer, immune disorders, and neurological diseases. By elucidating the regulatory mechanisms of PLCG1 at serine 1248, researchers can gain insights into potential therapeutic targets for developing novel treatments for these diseases.
The protein encoded by this gene catalyzes the formation of inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate and diacylglycerol from phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate. This reaction uses calcium as a cofactor and plays an important role in the intracellular transduction of receptor-mediated tyrosine kinase activators. For example, when activated by SRC, the encoded protein causes the Ras guanine nucleotide exchange factor RasGRP1 to translocate to the Golgi, where it activates Ras. Also, this protein has been shown to be a major substrate for heparin-binding growth factor 1 (acidic fibroblast growth factor)-activated tyrosine kinase. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
